Brief History:  Sarasota Insurance Women (SIW) was formed in early 1980 by a small group of women from Sarasota, Bradenton and Venice.  Their purpose was to help women in the industry pool their resources, provide educational opportunities, and build leadership skills.  The local association has grown in number to the current 32 members, who are constantly striving to attain new goals.
